This week, Santiago de Compostela is hosting Compostela Numérica, the Francisco Javier Sayas course and conference on numerical analysis, which brings together researchers from more than 20 academic and scientific institutions at the Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Santiago de Compostela.
This event highlights something in which we firmly believe: advanced mathematical knowledge and industry have much to offer one another.
Proof of this is the opening round-table discussion on the use of numerical analysis in the business world, in which Manuel Ángel López Ferreiro, from Reganosa, took part alongside representatives from Mestrelab Research, Repsol and DXC Technology Galicia. This is a vital dialogue between academia and the business community that drives the real transfer of knowledge.
