Concello, Club do Mar and Reganosa organise an intense day of trawlers on Saturday, with the participation of 21 crews.
Mugardos, 3 July 2025.- Mugardos will become, one more year, in the Galician capital of the rowing. This Saturday afternoon, 21 teams will take part in the seventh edition of the Reganosa Women’s Flag and in the ninth of the Concello de Mugardos Flag, tests, respectively, of the Federative League and of the A League of the Galician League of Traineras. Both organised by the Club do Mar, the first one is sponsored by Reganosa and the second one by the City Council.
The competition can be followed from the port of Mugardos. The female competition will start at 17.00 hours and the male one is expected to take place from 18.00 hours.
The Concello de Mugardos Flag will face the crews of Bueu-Simei, Chapela-Wofco, Tirán-Pereira, Castropol, Samertolameu-Oversea, Mecos, Mugardos, Urme, Cabo da Cruz, Narón and Cesantes-Rodavigo. For the Reganosa Women’s Flag will be measured Cabo da Cruz, Tirán-Pereira, Chapela-Wofco, Cesantes-Bueu-Cefycal-Simei, Salgado-Perillo, Rianxo, A Cabana-Ferrol, Castropol, Mecos and Amegrove.
The presentation of this great sport event has gathered today in the port of Mugardes the first deputy mayor of the locality, Ana Varela; the treasurer of the Club do Mar, Guillermo Pereira; Andrea Piñeiro, a representative of the club’s rowers; and the responsible of the liquefied natural gas terminal of Galicia, Nuria Rivas.
“Supporting these regattas – Varela emphasised – is an investment in youth, territory and culture”. “Thanks to the constant support of the Council and Reganosa, we continue rowing with strength and hope every season”, stressed Piñeiro.
Meanwhile, Rivas has wielded Reganosa’s commitment to the environment, local sport and equality: “The effort, dedication and spirit of our rowers are, without a doubt, values that we share and with which we feel identified. Saturday’s event will be a further demonstration of the support of all of us involved in the organisation for the promotion of equality, passion for sport and commitment to our community”.
